About Graham School of Dance
Graham School of Dance is a leading dance school based in Bishop's Stortford providing Dance Lessons and Drama and Musical Theatre classes to pupils across Hertforshire and Essex.
Dance classes are taught by friendly, experienced, dedicated and caring teachers whose high level of commitment and enthusiasm encourages and inspires the School’s pupils. The School’s high standards are maintained by these highly qualified and experienced teachers, and teachers have a pro-active programme of Continuing Professional Development.
By invitation, Gifted & Talented pupils are invited to take extra classes to further work towards maximising their potential, and dancers are supported in their Dance training by regular weekly lessons in Pilates and/or Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT).
The success of Graham School of Dance can be seen by the number of pupils winning places at renowned centres of excellence for the Performing Arts, such as The Royal Ballet School, Rambert School of Ballet & Contemporary Dance, Elmhurst Ballet School, English National Ballet School, Laine Theatre Arts, Bird College of Dance, London Studio Centre, Performers College, Urdang Academy, Stella Mann College, Italia Conti, Guildford School of Acting and LAMDA. A Graham School of Dance pupil has also been placed as one of the top 5 pupils in the annual national LAMDA competition.
Graham School of Dance pupils also attain outstanding examination results, including a number of 100% grades in RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern and LAMDA Drama. Over 99% of students attain Distinction or Merit in examinations, and recently all our Senior students who took RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern grades attained Distinction, with 70% of pupils gaining 90% or more.
