About Graham School of Dance & Theatre Arts

We run outstanding Performing Arts classes across locations in Hertfordshire and Essex, along with our stunning, purpose-built studios in the heart of Bishops Stortford. For over 30 years we have been one of the country’s leading pre-vocational schools, with our success and reputation recognised nationally and internationally.

We offer classes from 18 months all the way to adult classes, our ethos is to nurture every child individually, inspiring and encouraging the love of Performing Arts. Joining our classes are a fantastic way for children to make friends, work in a team, build confidence, and have fun - all whilst learning!

For many years we have been accredited with the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT), a nationally recognised certification for quality assurance and correct practice for pre-vocational performing arts schools. When you bring your child to GSDTA, you know the teachers are trained and qualified to the highest standards, not just in their subject, but in safeguarding and child development too.

We follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) and Acrobatic Arts (AA) syllabi. We are proud to provide classes and examinations on the country’s leading exam boards, which are known for their excellence.

We are so proud of all the students we have taught over the past 30 years, and all every single child has achieved at our school. We look forward to an incredibly bright future, including welcoming you to our school!
